As Dentally continues to grow we're delighted to welcome Kevin to our team. Kevin is our latest Account Manager and will be helping train and support our customers. He's managed to find a few minutes to let us know a little bit more about him, check it out below.
How did you first get involved in dentistry?
Straight after university, I started working for a Dental Software company in 1996! They were the days of DOS based systems and dial up modems. Fee scale updates were sent out on hundreds of floppy disks and software changes took weeks to get to all of our customers. So I can appreciate just how much more helpful software can be to a dental surgery these days.
What's the one problem you are best at solving for your clients?
Someone who uses software doesn’t need to care how it works, they need to know how to use it to get what they want. I like to solve things for people and show them the best tools to use to get what they need. I’m good at understanding what they need and explaining how to get it.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I’m older than I look! OK, maybe not. I’m just as happy with very oily hands and an engine to change as I am with some software to test and reports to write.
Where can we find you when you're not working? What's your favourite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?
For me, the perfect weekend escape is by a sunny beach in my old camper van. Ideally with a nearby bar selling good beer and seafood, and also happens to have great wifi.
Is there anything else you want to let us know?
Having been in the Dental Software industry all my working life, I have never seen software that works like Dentally does. It’s an exciting thing to be a part of.
